Waterproofing treatment to Metal roof with Apcobuild Flex PU WB of apcotex industries ltd. Single component liquid applied system based on an advance polyurethane modified water based polymer forming seamless elastomeric flexible waterproofing membrane on metal surface. The waterproof membrane on exposure to ultra violet radiation with excellent weathering, crack bridging properties.

Clean the surface thoroughly with mechanically means and make the surface free from dirt and loose material.
All loose layers of previous coating and or baked on coating should be completely removed.
Wire brushing, Scraping and grinding should be done as necessary to remove rust or corrosion and smooth out high and low spots after loose coating has been removed.
Bitumen based waterproofing treatments if existing, must be completely removed by mechanical scarification or by any other effective mechanical means.

Priming:

Dilute 1 parts of Apcobuild Flex PU WB with 1 part water. Allow it to dry for 6 to 8 hours.

Method of application:

Apply Apcobuild Flex PU WB by brush, roller. Apply first coat of Apcobuild Flex PU WB without any dilution & allow it to dry. After the coat dries start applying second coat of Apcobuild Flex PU WB.
This improves the performance of the coating dramatically, to take care all movements in cracks and joint in the substrate caused by variation of high and low temperature. Drying time between two coats will be 6 to 8 hours. Allow the system to air cure for 7 days minimum. A total thickness of 1 to 1.2 mm must be achieved when Apcobuild Flex PU WB is dry 7 days after application.
