Waterproofing treatment to Over Head Water Tank.

Specification:

It is proposed to providing and applied Apcobuild Seal N Secure of apcotex industries ltd. by brush application over the prepared surface including grouting, surface preparation, etc.

Remove existing damaged plaster / Screed.
Chase opens the Concrete / plaster must not contain any repellent additives.
Surface must be clean, free from oil and paint and have a wood float finish.
The structure must be examined for structural defects and any defects must be repaired.
All protrusion must be removed, honeycomb areas, cracks exceeding 0.3 mm wide and any other damaged areas shall be hacked out to the sound concrete to a minimum depth of 25 mm and treated with two coats of crystalline powder and then re-plastered to original profile with sand/cement mortar.
The surface of very smooth concrete must be roughened.
Substrate must be thoroughly cleaned with prior to treatment to ensure that the surface is clean and the concrete is saturated.

Specification For Grouting:

Specifications

Drill the hole of 12 mm dia up to the 2/3rd depth of the slab.
Fix the PVC Nozzles of approximate 6” long in to the drill and fix it with cement / ready mix mortar.
Inject the cement slurry admixed with grout admixture until the refusal.
Cut the grout nipples at the face of the surface and finish with cement mortar.

OH Tank Application:

Waterproofing to the OH Tank:

The podium slab shall be treated with Apcobuild Seal N Secure of apcotex industries ltd, specially formulated acrylic polymer modified cementitious, elastic, seamless, waterproof coating with good crack-bridging properties.

Method Statement:

The Apcobuild Seal N Secure shall be applied over the entire surface, once the surface cured with brush / roller / machine after the necessary surface preparation is completed.

MIXING:

Pour approximately 2/3 of the liquid component into a clean container and add Powder, Powder component whilst stirring until a lumps free mass is achieved. For proper mixing it is recommended to use a drill mixer with a paddle arrangement with an RPM of 350-500 for uniform lump free mixing.

Application

Apcobuild Seal N Secuer -2k is typically applied in two coats. It is important that the following rules be adhered to:
Ensure the surface is moist prior to application.
Corners (vertical/horizontal joining) should be sealed using JOINT-TAPE.
Maximum thickness per layer = 1mm (2 kg/mm2). This is to avoid crack formation.
Minimum waiting time between coats 1.5 hour at 35° C (or 4 hours at 20° C) in ventilated areas. In closed areas such as water tanks, longer waiting periods may be necessary. Always ensure a dry surface is attained before proceeding with subsequent coat.

By brush or trowel

The application of Apcobuild Seal N Secuer-2k is a simple brush or trowel application.
Use soft bristle brush or 1.5 mm - 2 mm notched steel trowel.
Use a finishing trowel immediately after application for improved surface finish.
